HARDNESS Tungsten is one of the hardest metals. In this context, hardness is measured by the difficulty to purposely SCRATCH the material. But because it is so hard it is actually less shatter resistant. Don’t believe anyone who says Tungsten does not break!

SAFETY If enough pressure is applied or if you drop/slam your Tungsten Ring against something with force, they would shatter instead of getting bent into the finger, like what gold and other soft metal rings do.

EMERGENCIES In emergency cases, you want a ring that’s going to break so they don’t have to cut your finger off. You would rather have the ring break than your hand getting stuck from a bent metal ring.

AFFORDDABILITY Comparatively less expensive that the “noble” metals so replacing it is more economical than losing a precious gold, silver or platinum ring.
