This sundial comes with an optional mounting bracket that can be affixed to the rear of the sundial. This allows the sundial to be used as a freestanding ornament indoors. Alternatively our large display stand is available separately for outdoor use I would like to customise my sundial; how can I do this? For our personalized text option, at the top of this page select the 'Personalized Text' or 'Large 10 Dial" size from the menu. Then select the yellow 'Customize Now' button and follow the instructions for creating your own bespoke sundial. How big is this sundial? All of our standard text sundials and base custom sundials are 6¼" in diameter. This allows them to be safely used as in indoor ornament when used with the display bracket. We do also offer a larger 10" option on our custom text variants too. Where should I place the sundial for it to work? For working sundial mount on our display stand pointing North, in a position outside that gets as much sunlight as possible throughout the day. Our sundials are configured to be accurate across northern USA, degrading in accuracy further Southwards. How do I care for my sundial? We leave you very little to do!!! Just dust the sundial occasionally or use a damp cloth to wipe the dust off it. This is due to the protection of our special RP9 outdoor quality paint and then coated in two coats of super protective lacquer.
